About

Savius is a private trading firm with US headquarters in Delaware. Savius LLC. They are the only futures trading firm that pays traders wages. Also, they provide the resources required to make your journey easier, as well as training and skills in trading. Savius offers you the resources and instruction you need to lay a strong foundation for your future.

Private investment firm Savius was established in 2013 and has traders in both the US and Europe. Its main function is to make capital gains on business funds by engaging in financial speculative activities on significant futures markets. In 2020, Gianluca Lambusta will serve as the Chinook Trading Academy’s CEO and Senior Trading Coach.

The main goal of this change of leadership was to open a proprietary firm to other professionals so they could trade with capitalised accounts without risking savings. In Italy, this programme was truly ground-breaking. Tiziano Bruno, Senior Trader Savius from 2017 and current CEO and Risk Management of the business, was also involved.

Savius Forex

Savius is an international trading platform that enables all Forex traders to take part in challenges and get a capitalised account that is ready to trade. This results in a significant advantage for the trader, who may operate using their money instead of putting their own capital at risk.

The Savius Forex challenge steps are very similar to the Limitless and Limitless Pro challenge. Starting with Step 5, you’ll start getting a fixed salary (in addition to the Profit Share). Any trading method is acceptable. You won’t be subject to any limitations from them like with some prop firms although there are some fair rules you need to be aware of.

Profit Share

If you possess a Limitless Challenge or a Limitless Pro Challenge, you can claim a 70% profit share or an 80% profit share in step 3. Nevertheless, since Step 3 is the first revenue stage, you can split it into two parts:

  1. As soon as you hit the profit target, you can collect the first 30% of your profit share.
  2. If you have amassed at least $1300 in net profits, you may claim the remaining portion of your profit share while managing your step 4 account.

Here’s an illustration:

Consider that you are in Step 3 of a Limitless Pro Challenge and have just surpassed your 5000$ profit goal. The total profit share you receive is $4000 (5000$ x 80% = $4000).

You may immediately claim 30% of your portion of the overall profit: $1200. The remaining $2800 of your Step 3 total profit share is yours to claim in Step 4, in addition to the eventual regular 80% profit share you accrued in Phase 4.

Please be aware that only Step 3 is impacted by this procedure. You can claim your 70% or 80% total profit share (depending on the package you selected) in one lump sum at the end of the month starting with Step 4 and higher.

Daily Drawdown

50% of the maximum drawdown is the daily drawdown. It is automatically determined based on the type of challenge (basic vs. pro) and the running step. Every 24 hours at 00:00 CET in the winter and 00:00 CEST in the summer, when they take a snapshot of your account, the daily drawdown resets and is fixed.

As a result, the daily drawdown is updated at the beginning of each new trading day. Please be aware that it will be sufficient to mark your challenge as “failed” if you reach the daily drawdown limit, whether with closed positions or with your open PnL.

Example: If your total trailing drawdown is $5000, the daily drawdown will be equal to $2500 in this scenario. If you close up your first trading session with a net loss of $400 USD on the same account, your second trading session will still have a $2500 daily drawdown.

Assume that the trailing daily drawdown balance is lower than the maximum daily drawdown balance. If you reach the maximum trailing drawdown figure in that instance, you can still fail the challenge without exceeding your daily drawdown cap.

Maximum Drawdown

As the maximum drawdown is determined using the highest equity, it is regarded as “trailing.” A Limitless Pro, for instance, would have a starting balance of $50,000, a trailing drawdown of $4,000, and an initial lower boundary of $46,000.

Let’s say you make 2k, increasing your top equity to $52k. The maximum drawdown would therefore be 48,000. As top equity is determined when the transaction is confirmed, this computation is always performed after the open trades are closed.

The maximum drawdown cap cannot ever be reached by any of your open positions. In other words, if your trailing drawdown is -4k, and the platform touches -4k as floating PnL, your position will be immediately flattened.

Consistency Rule

This rule does imply that the trading session (day) during which you make your best overall net profit cannot exceed 50% of the overall profit. This will stop you from hitting the profit target with a few fortunate trades. Not simply the net PnL, but also the consistency of the candidate must be assessed.

In the case when $ maxProfit = ($ actualProfit * 0.50) an account is consistent. The current balance less the starting balance is what they refer to as $ actualProfit (50K). For example:

  • Maximum profit: $ 1,725.00 – Current profit from the starting balance 50K: $ 2,030.00
  • Formula result: 1725> 1015 (Not consistent because maximum profit exceeds the result)
  • Current profit to be achieved with that maximum profit: 1725 / 0.5 = $ 3,450.00

Conclusion

Overall, Savius is a professional prop trading firm for anyone who is looking to get a funded forex or futures account. The capital is capped at $250,000 which is not the highest in the industry but you can build up the account with good trading. However, the profit share of 80% is generous, especially considering that you get a fixed salary on top. Another leading prop firm in FTMO provide a 90% profit split but no salary as a comparison.

You can trade a vast array of financial instruments across various asset classes on some of the best trading platforms for both retail and professional traders alike. The trading conditions are flexible, with most trading strategies accepted. They don’t allow automated trading with third-party expert advisors but The 5%ers do if you are looking to use a prop firm EA.

There are various Savius challenges that you can choose from, with a 2-step evaluation process. The objectives are fair and achievable. If you are looking for instant funded accounts, then Instant Funding are another option to consider. Other than that, Savius are certainly worth consideration if you think you have the skills and risk management required to qualify and trade investment capital.

FAQ

What is the Savius profit share?

Trading profits will be split 80/20 where 80% goes to the trader and 20% to Savius.

Is the registration fee one-off or are there additional costs?

The purchase cost is “one-off”. There are no further costs for the subsequent steps.

How much time do I have to pass the challenges?

Steps 1 and 2 each have a one-month deadline for achieving the profit goal (which can be extended in the event of expiration of 30 days with a positive balance). You will no longer have a time limit starting with Step 3.

What happens if I can’t finish the evaluation within the 30 days set for steps 1 & 2?

You can retry the choice at a lower cost if you are unable to meet the profit target within the time frame required in the first two steps. It will be possible to extend the trial after the cutoff date for an additional 30 days with keeping the Step completed and the trading account’s balance. You can add the extension right from your user area.

What happens after stage 6?

Traders who advance to the final stage may experience more expansion. Also, the conditions of partnership will be unique to each trader’s wants and requirements. There is the potential to join the CTA following a personal interview.

How does the step 5 fixed income work?

In order to keep the salary active each month you need to make at least 1% on the initial balance (so for step 5 it would be 1% of $150,000).

What happens if I reach the maximum drawdown in Step 3 or beyond?

You are entitled to a 50% discount on the purchase of a new challenge if you reach the maximum withdrawal in Step 3 or more. To obtain a management account, traders must start a new challenge from scratch.

Are expert advisors (EAs) allowed?

In order to employ Expert Advisor, it must be a proprietary development. Third-party EAs that have been downloaded, purchased, or obtained from other means are not permitted.
